Privacy Policy
How this website collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kolb Counseling & Consulting ("we," "us," or "Abby") handles information collected through this website, drabigailkolb.com. It applies to the website only. Information shared during therapy, and your clinical records, are handled separately under professional confidentiality requirements and applicable law, and are not governed by this website policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you use the contact form, we collect the details you choose to send — your name, email address, and, optionally, your phone number and a short message. We also record basic, non-identifying context about how you reached the site (such as the referring page and campaign parameters) so we can understand which efforts help people find us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These tools may collect your IP address, device and browser type, approximate (city-level) location, the pages you view, and how you interact with the page. The tools we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage statistics.
- Google Ads — to measure which ads lead to contacts or calls.
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replays that help us spot usability problems. Form fields are masked, so anything you type into the contact form (name, email, phone, message) is not recorded.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send the contents of the contact form to any analytics tool.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To understand site usage and improve the website.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the site and these tools: Formspree (delivers contact-form messages), Google (Analytics and Ads), Microsoft (Clarity), and Cloudflare (website hosting). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
Cookies, analytics, and your choices
These tools use cookies and similar technologies. You can:
- Control or block cookies through your browser settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Manage personalised ads in your Google Ad Settings.
Please don't send sensitive details here
The contact form and email are convenient ways to get in touch, but they are not a secure or confidential channel for protected health information. Please keep your message brief and avoid including sensitive clinical details. This form is not monitored continuously and is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911.
Data retention
We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's standard settings.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have submitted through this site by emailing abby@drabigailkolb.com.
Children's privacy
This website and practice are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
